CAN FALIPA CIVIC CENTER (Bacelona)
Atotaixodansa proposes Dance for Everyone: "Vores i ales", a dance workshop open to all people interested in exploring body movement and self-expression, regardless of age, training and physical abilities. All body movement has the potential to transmit authenticity, emotion and meaning. Different abilities will give different forms, which enrich artistic creation. Community dance is a comprehensive health practice that combines movement, contact and emotional expression in a shared space of collective care. Dancing in a group promotes body awareness, flexibility, coordination and breathing, but also generates emotional well-being and a sense of belonging. Contact, gaze and mutual support transform movement into an experience of connection and trust that reduces stress, improves self-esteem and strengthens mental health. Body care, understood as a shared and sensitive action, thus becomes a way of also caring for the community.

Teatre L'Atlàntida (Vic)
A social theatre performance telling a story about mental health through four voices: two mothers and two adolescent daughters share, in the first person, their experiences with mental health, as the daughters face depression and eating disorders for different reasons. From the perspectives of both generations, the play addresses issues such as school bullying, sexual abuse, social media use, suicide, and how mental health challenges affect the entire family. Together, they undertake a cathartic and raw journey, presenting mental health honestly without glamorizing or romanticizing it, while conveying a message of hope and, above all, the importance of asking for help.

Institut Pla de les Moreres (Vilanova del Camí)
The comic project “In My Own Way” was created based on a real-life story, in which the author recounts a family member’s experience to raise awareness about the effects of substance use on mental health. This initiative, born from a collaboration between Primary Care of ICS Anoia and the Department of Education, aims to educate adolescents aged 14–16 on the connection between drugs and mental illness, offering tools to reflect on their beliefs and attitudes. The project combines art as a transformative medium with pedagogy, producing educational materials that include the comic, a learning guide with visual and pedagogical resources, and direct interaction between the author and students. The pilot implementation took place at the Institut Pla de les Moreres in Vilanova del Camí (from 12 March to 25 April 2024), including various sessions: comic reading and discussion, meeting the author, myth-busting activities, role-playing exercises, and creating posters with positive messages on mental health and addiction. The impact has been highly positive for both students and teaching/health teams, highlighting the power of artistic language to connect with young people and encourage critical thinking. Currently, the comic is being digitized into an interactive video format in collaboration with the Igualada City Council to expand its reach and usefulness in new educational contexts. Results suggest the potential to extend the project to other secondary schools in Anoia, consolidating a model that unites art, health, and education to promote prevention and emotional well-being.

Residències Municipals de Barcelona
El Museu s’Apropa is a program of artistic activities organized by museums in the Apropa Cultura network and held in residences for older adults. The project was born in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, when the isolation of older adults living in care homes—and their limited access to cultural life—became evident. Through this project, museums bring art to the residences, organizing art workshops for seniors. The activities of El Museu s’Apropa create opportunities to elevate mood, stimulate cognitive processes, enhance interpersonal relationships, and enjoy aesthetic experiences, promoting a healthy life and good mental health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barcelona City Council requested an emergency intervention from Apropa Cultura at four municipal care homes, using art to combat isolation, reduce sadness, and improve the mental health of the older residents.
La Dansa s’Apropa is a project by Apropa Cultura, in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council and Mercat de les Flors, that brings dance directly to senior residences in Barcelona. The initiative builds on the earlier project El Museu s’Apropa and was commissioned by the Municipal Institute of Social Services (IMSS) of Barcelona for four municipal residences: Josep Miracle, Francesc Layret, L’Onada Guinardó, and Fort Pienc. A team of choreographers and dancers — including Montse Iranzo, Claudia Solwat, Elis Genís, Toni Mira, Magdalena Garzón, Susana Pérez, Xevi Dorca, and Toni Jodar — visits these residences weekly to offer dance sessions aimed at improving mood, stimulating cognitive processes, and enhancing social connections. Participants have an average age of 85 and often face cognitive and mobility challenges.

CAP Roquetes – Sant Pere de Ribes
A group of caregivers, selected by professionals from CAP Roquetes according to pre-established criteria, will participate in this weekly workshop series over three months, led by a multidisciplinary team from the CAP. The program will conclude with a special Art Therapy session, facilitated by “El Taller dels Sentits”, a Centre for Plastic Expression and Art Therapy. Art Therapy provides a therapeutic space where creative processes are used to support individuals with psychological, physical, social, or emotional challenges, while also fostering their capacities and resources. The closing session will guide participants through an internal listening exercise using clay, followed by an expansive exercise with painting to recognize and strengthen connections within the group. This experience will allow caregivers to consolidate what they have learned, gain additional tools for self-care, and nurture the sense of community and support built during the workshops.
