ESMUC holds a special event reviewing ten years of the International Conference on Arts and Health.
As part of Healing Arts Barcelona, the Catalan School of Music invites the artistic, educational, and healthcare communities to a special event reviewing ten years of the International Conference on Arts and Health. The event will review the journey from 2016 to the present, highlighting how music has established itself as a tool for well-being, research, and social transformation . It will be a space to celebrate, reflect, and project the dialogue between music, health, and community into the future.
The roundtable will reflect on the ten editions of the Arts and Health Conference organized at ESMUC, with the participation of Melissa Mercadal , Deputy Director General of Academic Planning and Organization. Also participating will be Professor Margarida Barbal and Dr. Oriol Estrada, Director of Healthcare Strategy and Innovation at the German Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona.
The program for the next edition of the Arts and Health Conference , which will take place on November 14 and 15, will be presented during the event. This year's program will be titled " Music Therapy Without Borders ," and will feature the collaboration of the Norwegian Academy (Norway), Sibelius Academy (Finland), and MDW (Austria), partners and members of the European university alliance IN.TUNE, along with ESMUC.
To conclude the event, the chamber ensemble of the Supercapacitats project will perform, made up of Anna Salvadó (violin), Andrea Porras (viola) and Patrícia Martínez (cello), under the direction of professors Albert Gumí and Rosalia Gómez, and the musicians of the SIFU Foundation, Nel Cardo (violin) and Joel Bou (piano).
