The Catalan Health Institute (ICS) and the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) present the second edition of the International Symposium on Arts in Health, following the success of the first edition , held in February 2023.

This event brings together professionals from the fields of arts, culture, health and community development to exchange knowledge, share experiences and explore the transformative role of the arts in promoting health and well-being.

During the course of the symposium, participants:

  • They will present real experiences of implementing Arts in Health strategies in various institutional settings.
  • They will show outstanding projects developed throughout Catalonia
  • They will highlight innovative programs and practice models that are shaping the future of arts-based health interventions
  • They will engage in meaningful dialogues on critical issues such as health equity, community well-being, and cultural inclusion.

Featured conference with Christopher Bailey

Christopher Bailey, Arts and Health Lead of the World Health Organization (WHO), will highlight in a conference format the transformative value of the arts as an asset for public health, and the importance of building global alliances to integrate culture and health into public policies.

Bellvitge Breathe Choir + Catalan Orfeó

Joint performance by participants in an arts in health intervention promoted by the Respiratory Rehabilitation Unit of the Bellvitge Hospital and the Palau de la Música Catalana, which demonstrates how shared artistic practice can become a tool for rehabilitation and health improvement.
