The orchestra has been active for 21 years at the Comunitat Terapèutica del Maresme. Their concerts are highly emotional events, featuring songs from a wide variety of styles, most of which are danceable, and some are original compositions by the orchestra members.
This activity is part of the Altre International Festival of Performing Arts and Mental Health, a meeting space between performing arts and mental health that emphasizes the role of the arts as a catalyst for transformation and collective reflection.
L’Altre Festival – Cia Move in Vein
Dance | 5:00 PM | Duration: 25 minutes
What does anxiety feel like in the body? How does it affect us? What strategies do we have to get through it—if any? What obstacles, taboos, and stigmas make it harder to face? Why do we still feel so much shame in suffering? Why do we still have to pretend we’re fine? How can we explain what we’re going through?
M'[əβítə] is a performance that combines urban and contemporary dance with spoken-word poetry and live classical and electronic music. This interdisciplinary approach explores mental suffering through multiple languages and perspectives, drawing from personal and shared experiences.
This performance is part of the L’Altre International Festival of Performing Arts and Mental Health, a platform that brings together the performing arts and mental health, highlighting the transformative power of the arts in fostering reflection and collective dialogue.
