The "Music Therapy in the Field of Mental Health: The Case of Ritmes en Companyia" workshop is offered by the Arts in Health program at the Gran Teatro del Liceo.
The Gran Teatro del Liceu will host the event " Music Therapy in Mental Health: The Case of Rhythms in Company" on Wednesday, as part of Healing Arts Barcelona.
The opening keynote address will be given by Simon Procter, Professor of Creativity and Mental Health at St. John's University in York.
Next, Pau Gimeno, director of Ritmos en Compañía , will explain the origins and evolution of the program, and researchers from the Bosch and Gimpera Foundation at the UB will present the preliminary results of its evaluation. The project's key players, including professionals from mental health hospitals in Catalonia, music therapists, and users, will also participate in the event.
