Carmen Cabezas and Rafael Cofiño talk about the impact of art on public health at the Marès Museum
Carmen Cabezas , former Secretary of Public Health of the Generalitat, and Rafael Cofiño, former Secretary of Public Health of Asturias, will talk at the Frederic Marès Museum in Barcelona about the impact of art on public health, in a round table moderated by Guillem d'Efak Fullana Ferré , Head of Community Action, Programs
MNAC Audiences and Communication.
Public health goes beyond the clinical sphere and is built on social, cultural and environmental factors that directly influence people's well-being. In this framework, culture and the arts become public health assets , capable of reducing stress and isolation, strengthening social cohesion and
contribute to prevention. The roundtable will highlight how to integrate these perspectives into health policies and practice, and what role museums and cultural institutions can play in promoting collective health.
