"The Heart of the Museum" at the Hospital Clínic

The Hospital Clínic of Barcelona presents a new art program for health, a result of its relationship with the MNAC (National Museum of Contemporary Art). This innovative proposal explores emotional well-being through art after a sudden death and a journey through the history of art and health from a perspective of sex and gender.

As part of Healing Arts, the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona presents a new Culture in Health program , the result of its relationship with the MNAC . It consists of an innovative proposal on emotional well-being through art after a recovered sudden death and a journey through the history of art and health from
from a sex and gender perspective.

5:00 p.m. Institutional welcome

Presentation of “The Heart of the Museum” , a program by the Hospital Clínic and MNAC, to stimulate and promote emotional well-being through art after a sudden death has been recovered.

5:30 PM Talk "Health, Gender, and Art Throughout History." A reflection on how art, and medicine, have represented women as essentially reproductive, subordinate, and differentiated beings throughout the centuries.
